Overview: Judge rules the EPA is abusing their power, by slowing the production and regulation of the coal industry in West Virginia.
A judge ruled that the EPA was abusing its power by making coal companies come to standards that were not properly set forth as rules. This abuse in power resulted in the slowing of permit approval, which in turn suspended coal-mining jobs that depended on these permits being approved.
